Hundreds of Red-White Flags and Banners Installed in Thousand Islands

The Thousand Islands Technical Work Unit (UKT) 2, put up hundreds of banners and red-white flags on 11 resident islands spread across its territory.

To optimize it, we involved local urban village and sub-district

Thousand Islands UKT 2 Head, Sofyan said the installation of banners that aims to welcome the celebration of Independence Day has been carried out since August 1, 2023.

"To optimize it, we involved local urban village and sub-district. Our hope is all can be installed on 11 residential islands on August 10," he expressed, Thursday (8/3).

He hoped that it could make locals and tourists feel the excitement of Independence Day

It was also expected to remind the struggle of the heroes in achieving national independence.

"Its installation is centered at the docks, health centers, sub-district, and sub-district offices," he explained.

RW 03 Chairman, Sabira Island, Harapan Island, Muhammad Ali Kurniawan encouraged locals to participate in putting up the red-white flag in the yard as a form of love for the motherland.

"We also paint the Gapura (gate)," he closed.
